Liposuction: Fat Removal Procedure

Liposuction is a fat removal procedure that aims to eradicate excessive stubborn fat from these hard to shift areas on women and men. this normally works best for the thighs, bottom and stomach as it can treat this problem when some other methods fail. However, there is a strange and unexpected side effect where the fat can return; annoyingly, this can happen in a completely different area to where it was taken.

Tumescent and Ultrasonic are the two most commonly used methods although there are other lesser known techniques. The most modern of these techniques is Tumescent and has become one of the most commonly practiced aesthetic cosmetic procedures in America. Because the tube that removes the fat is not as large it helps to reduce the bruising in the area which is why the recovery period is longer using the procedure as it requires a general anesthetic. Unfortunately there is often a certain amount of blood loss with traditional liposuction; something that is addressed with the Tumescent technique which adds adrenaline to the solution to reduce the blood loss.

Some of the most awkward areas to remove fat from are the thighs, hips, back and upper stomach region but Ultrasonic liposuction makes this possible. It is possible, even though rare, for internal injury to occur owing to the fact the surgeon cannot adequately see where the probe is once it's inside the body when performing the traditional technique of removing fat. The best thing to do is to consult with a surgeon to choose the most suitable technique for your body.

The danger from side effects using liposuction although rare, still exist so if you are unsure about the process, consult your cosmetic surgeon. Anyone considering this treatment will need to have a medical examination first to confirm they are in good physical health for the procedure to take place. To ensure infections do not occur after treatment, cosmetic surgeons prescribe antibiotics to patients and re-iterate the importance of keeping wounds clean.

Techniques in cosmetic surgery have moved forward in leaps and bounds especially in the field of fat removal. Lipo dissolve another type of liposuction involves a series of injections of a compounded mixture of drugs into areas of body fat: including saddlebags, double chins, hips and other hard to reach places. One other benefit of Lipo Dissolve is that it does not require any form of anesthesia and patients feel almost no pain whatsoever.
